music: Heartkiller - HIM
I just saw a myspace add for HIM and I was happy, but then I read that they described them as "gloom pop." I never want to hear HIM labeled as pop ever again. >.< I really do not want to go to my first HIM concert with a bunch of teenagers that don't feel as strongly about the band as I do and have as good as manners as 3OH!3 fans do, which is to say none. Being labeled as pop increases those chances.

In other news, my shift button is not working properly.

Can any of you lovely friends possibly make this picture into a plain wallpaper, like just him to one side and then the rest of the screen is black like the background of the picture?

Please and thank you! :D

I was thinking of being a volunteer DJ for my college radio station and I found out that on Friday nights they play Finnish polka/Death metal. What! Random, but awesome.

I would really like to go home. But then I feel like a bad person for thinking that.

edit+
Okay, so I am apparently prone to bouts of homesickness, but I have to say it's getting better. I'm just quick to judge situations, a habit I should probably work on.
Here's what's happened to me so far...
Move-in: That day felt like it was never-ending. There was also a fire alarm in my building so we had to evacuate. Turns out there wasn't a fire but it took forever. I also didn't meet anyone so I felt so alone the next day.
Day after: Another never-ending day. I contracted an upset stomach (which hasn't gotten any better really yet) and ate ice cream where Obama ate ice cream last year on one of his campaign stops.
Today: Not as never-ending, but still long. Finally felt like I could make friends (which is extra hard for me for some reason : /) and I bonded with my roommate, for once. I also felt slightly less dependent.

So maybe things are getting better? I haven't felt the need to cry as much, at least.

Blink-182 Concert
05:19pm 19/09/2009

mood: anxious
music: Reckless Abandon - Blink-182
I was able to see Blink-182 as well as the All-American Rejects and Chester French at the Verizon Amphitheater. Chester French was okay, AAR was flamboyantly good, and Blink was perverted, funny, and epic. They also had a great light show that accompanied them.

The guy next to me decided to mess with me, but his "prank" was lame. Plus, he was high (and how did I know this? Because he decided to smoke pot, right next to me. Thanks, dude), but at least it wasn't his creepy friend.
Guy: Who's Blink-182?
Me: Are you serious?
Guy: Yeah, I'm from another country.
Me: Oh, they're a punk band from the '90's.
Guy: I'm just kidding. I know who they are. I was just messing with you.
Me: O.o
Guy: Sorry. *weird laugh*

Top 5 Music Videos I Have Ever Seen

mood: bored
music: Graveyard - Blue Soul
MTV's VMA's occurred on Sunday, and I was not impressed, yet again.

So, I've come up with my own top 5 music videos. This list only includes videos I have seen and can remember, and does not include HIM because, let's be honest, they would be the whole list and then some.

The List (in no particular order)
1. Melody Club - The Only Ones
2. The 69 Eyes - Betty Blue
3. Apocalyptica - I Don't Care
4. Blink-182 - All the Small Things
5. Shakira - She Wolf

music: I don't have a hobo fantasy, Shawn! - Gus
So my mom wants me to learn Spanish because she thinks it will be helpful, which it probably would if I planned to live in any of the states bordering Mexico, but I don't. French would be the most helpful to my goals but not necessary, and I hate the French language (no offense). I really want to learn Finnish, Portuguese, and American Sign Language but I can't learn all three, so which one do I choose?

In other news:

Me: Ew, ew it's hard! It's hard! Wait... no it's not. It's squishy.
Sister: You're really weird.
[several minutes later]
Me: adskjdsf Get off me you stupid orange!
Sister: Do you want me to peel that for you?

So apparently it's a day for conflict and I'm kind of liking it.

It's also a day of not being able to say things properly. Peanut Butter and Jelly is now known as Peanut Buttuh and Jewy. Pronounced more like J-air-wee instead of Chealsea Handler is a Jew -ee.

Football is such a homoerotic sport, I love it. I just saw a teammate shove another teammate against a wall and then press his entire body against him. There is only one thing that could look like and it is more than friendly...

Anyway, I went to the doctor's today to get my last HPV shot and fill out a form about past immunizations for school. Apparently, there are all these new vaccines I haven't gotten that my mom's making me to get. It's kind of inconvenient since you can only get so many at a time, but at least there will be less diseases for me to contract. Good thing I'm not afraid of needles!

I'm totally bummed right now. My computer won't play Zoo Tycoon just because it's a Microsoft product. : (
Why can't PCs and Macs just get along? It would make life just that much easier if they did.

I guess I just have to find better ways of wasting my time. I think Sims 3 will still work since EA games is pretty versatile. Though my dad did "helpfully" suggest I could spend my time studying my expensive textbooks. I can't help it that those things cost hundreds of dollars, even if I did save him a lot by buying them really used. It also not like I won't ever use them either.

I just bought all my school books! I think I'm generally too excited about everything these days because this made me really happy and they're only textbooks.

I'm like this cat except you can substitute bacon for Harry Potter, Fight Club, my birthday, Warped Tour, my cat, Blink-182, school, cheesy 70's cop music, Target, and glam rock, among other things.

Today I made my first grilled cheese sandwich, and I actually liked it! I've never liked the one's my mom has made me. Of course, I used gouda instead of gross plastic cheese. But guess where it came from? Finland! Weird, I know. But it was Finlandia brand so I suppose they would boast about something like that. Now, it's got me thinking about where all my food comes from. o.O

From Dr. Polidori's Lord Ruthven to Stephenie Meyer's Edward Cullen, the annals of vampire lore are filled with attractive, charming bloodsuckers. Which one would you most want to be bitten by?

Jessica the red-headed newborn vampire from True Blood would definitely be my first choice. Though I wouldn't say no to Eric Northman either.
